First or Promises, promises.

Blog- website that allows users to reflect, share opinions, and discuss various topics in the form of an online journal while readers may comment on posts. ...       Okay. We can do that.

So here it is for your pleasure. Blogging Shenanigans. We're hoping to make this as entertaining as possible. There is no regular forum here. We might tell stories or post reviews to movies new and old. Whatever is posted, we hope whomever comes across it finds some entertainment value.

2010 has come and gone. I've noticed that most people seem to be somewhat at odds with this year. Some say it brought a lot of hard times, others are just ready to start anew. Me? I'm somewhat sad to see it go. When this year began I vowed to make it more memorable then others and I'm extremely happy to report that I have. So much has been accomplished in just 365 days. As I start to this year, and in trying to keep my resolutions early, I thought a list of 30 highs and lows would be appropriate.

In 2010 I:

1. went back to school
2. learned how to Creatively Loaf
3. gave new meaning to "Shenanigans"
4. reconnected with old friends
5. saw a few movies
6. loved
7. lost
8. maintained a 4.0
9. drank more beer then I would like to admit
10. became an uncle....16 years late.
11. got back onstage after a ten year hiatus
12. missed L.A. just a little bit more
13. started my Batman training
14. didn't get anyone knocked up
15. re-read Harry Potter
16. still didn't finish Kavalier and Clay
17. ran out of cologne
18. ripped my favorite shorts
19. lost weight
20. gained it back
21. bought new running shoes
22. finally went to the Amphitheater
23. did not go to Universal Studios
24. nor Chicago
25. nor Greece
26. got a sense of humor about myself
27. watched my son play baseball
28. realized he was becoming his own person
29. turned 30
30. got closer to being a grown up

As I type these last few sentences the clock is about to hit midnight and the new year will be upon us all. The theme for 2011 is continuity. Continuing on this path that I started exactly one year ago to have a good life. A happy life. That's not a resolution, but a promise to myself and my son. I hope all of you do the same. Happy New Year.
